Songs: Christmas through songs

If you’re too short of time
To get kids to learn rhyme
And you want to avoid a disaster;
Let them dress up for a song
And we’ll all sing along
And your carols will get planned even faster!

Try using these songs to tell the Christmas story:
O come, O come Emannuel‘ Particularly if your readings start with Isaiah.
Gabriel’s Message‘ which unsuprisingly covers the angel telling Mary she will have a baby.
O come all ye faithful‘ focuses on the birth of Jesus.
Angels we have heard on high‘ the angels are the main point but the shepherds are there too.
We three kings of Orient are‘ pretty much the only song that is all about the wise men.
and ‘Joy to the world‘ as an excellent summary song.
